Mom & Dad Project

 

A parenting education and Resource Center was established in 2001 to fulfill the umet needs for partent education in Big Bear Valley.  The goal of the Mom & Dad Project is to provide a full spectrum parenting education program for families from the moent they discover they are expecting, through the formative yaers of their children's lives. Through the Mom & Dad Project, parents of all socio-economic levels receive high quality educaitonal parenting classes, workshops and case management.

 

A Coming of Age Foster Family Agency

 

A private non-profit organization whose primary function is to connect children in the 

 

foster care system to the care, education and support needed for their individual growth and development.  Children and the families they are connected to are supported with services such as foster care placement, financial assistance, case management, training, and linkages to community resources.

 

A Coming of Age connects children to foster care families in the counties of Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego.

Walden Family Services, an accredited foster care and adoption agency has been 

 

supporting the lives of children and families through lasting relationships since 1976.  With offices in San Diego, Riverside, Northridge, San Bernardino, Palmdale and Victorville, we have expanded our services to include programs such as Aftercare and Independent Futures to young adults emancipating from foster care; Cal-Learn services to pregnant and parenting teens; visitation centers for birth families; and First 5 San Bernardino Nurturing Parenting Classes to pregnant and parenting teens to ameliorate the cycle of children entering the foster care system.

 

Community Health Systems Inc.

 

Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHSI) is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Established from the roots of Bloomington CHSI has community health centers in the counties of Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego.

The mission of CHSI is not to compete with other clinics that provide healthcare services, but to serve the indigent population and meet their healthcare needs.  As such, services are offered to the neediest in each community - the un-insured and under-insured, the working poor, those with limited ability to pay, the homeless, and the indigent. Services are provided at discounted (sliding fee scale) rates for those who qualify based on gross annual income and family size.

 

 

 

 

 

Mountain Counseling & Training, Inc. (MCT) provides academic coaching, counseling, and training (corporate and "at risk" youth) services with a uniquely strengths-based focus. 

 

Our mission is to revolutionize the lives of individuals families, and organizations by helping them to:

El Sol

El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center is a grassroots non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1991.  In the last eighteen years, El Sol has sustained principles of education for individual and community empowerment by using a community health worker model,

 in the arena of community -based health education.

 

With programs in nutrition, mental health, domestic violence, and other areas, we have seen the power of trusted peers and community members raise awareness, dispel stigma, and enable people to get the support and services they need.

 

Throughout these 23 years, El Sol has maintained a clear mission of empowering its community to lead healthy and comfortable lives. With the use of community health workers, they have access to health care, safe and affordable housing, opportunities for education, and the leadership skills to eliminate disparities. To accomplish this mission, El Sol’s goal is to provide culturally and linguistically competent services that promote and maintain the well-being of the community.

Knowledge and Education for your Success

 

 

Knowledge and Education for Your Success Inc. (KEYS) the affiliate nonprofit of the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino (HACSB), works on providing resident services and support to families of San Bernardino.  KEYS is committed to a world in which all individuals and families lead meaningful and empowered lives and pass that legacy to future generations.  KEYS mission is to empower all individuals and families impacted by poverty to unlock their potential for success.

High Desert Outreach Center

 

High Desert Outreach Center started 

in July 2013. We are located in the City of Adelanto, a community of the high desert.

 

The center provides weekly food distribution, health and nutrition classes, and youth leadership activities.  HDOC also operates a community garden, using it as a forum to increase families’ access and use of locally grown fruits and vegetables.

Family Man

 

A 501 (c)(3) organization that provides resources and referrals to fathers and husbands in the Inland Empire.  The program also provides products and services that will enhance individual well-being and self-sufficiency.

Colton Christian Church

 

Colton Christian Church is a vital urban ministry,

 

considered a 501 (c) (3) organization which has been operating for 75 years.  It exists for the sole purpose of helping people come to know the Father, Son and Holy Spirit described in the inspired scriptures of the Bible; to help others to personally experience Him in their daily lives and to fulfill the Great Commission.

 

Known as a “Church of Second Chances”, CCC is a sanctuary for the lost, the sick and the disenfranchised. It supports the community through Christian education, small and large group offerings and compassionate acts of services.

Bear Valley

 

The Bear Valley Community Healthcare Districts (BVCHD) Mom & Dad Project

Cedar House Life Change Center

 

Cedar House Life Change Center (Cedar House) is a 501© 3 non-profit corporation. Centrally located to serve the Inland Empire Cedar House provides a complete continuum of care to residents of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.

 

Cedar House’s mission is dedicated to improving the lives of those suffering from chemical dependency by providing evidence-based, high quality therapeutic clinical treatment services, while educating and engaging the community through open communication and outreach activities.

Hearts & Lives

 

Founded in 2003 as a community-based organization Hearts & Lives emerged, in response to the devastating California wildfires and recognition by the community, as a one-stop Community Family Resource Center.  Through our structured case management system and the ability to identify gaps in services, Hearts & Lives is able to provide a bridge from crisis to stability.

No Drugs America is a non-profit organization that has served the high desert area of San Bernardino County since 2000.  We provide drug prevention awareness and education to children, youth and families. 

 

Our mission is to stop illegal drug use and the illegal use of legal drugs before it starts in our kids pre-school through high school.
